Diving Site: Ras EL Torfa - Abu Siyal
There may be a few divers in the region. The vessel anchors in a natural lagoon that makes up the most northern section of a broad harbour. Here, the main reef is separated from a series of beds that form a drop-off by a sand strip that begins at 5 metres. In the sand patch, pufferfish and goatfish can be seen, and the drop-off is teeming with anthias and other small fish. While exploring further south, you might come across a few turtles. Nevertheless, on the way back, keep an eye out for one of the region’s most gorgeous pinnacles at 9 mt, which features a completely unbroken table coral that is home to the elusive lemon coral goby.
