Diving Site: Um Sid
Considering that Umm Sid was not dived as regularly as other sites in Dahab in the past, it has a range of reef structures and an abundance of fish species, all of which are in remarkable shape. A large passageway cut into a sharply sloping reef serves as the entrance. Dive around and below a sizable coral tongue until you come to a sandy incline where garden eels live. To see the magnificent huge gorgonians, skilled divers can descend to a depth of 30 metres by following the slope down into a lovely coral garden. You can see tiny longnose hawkfish here. Climb to a maximum depth of 18 metres to finish the dive with a gentle swim along a reef wall covered with anthias and table corals.
